The dedicated faculty at LIHA works closely with a school psychologist and with learning specialists and other outside agencies to meet the special educational needs of each individual student. Systems, procedures, and individual education plans are designed to address social, emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns and to ensure that each child thrives in school and reaches his/her potential.
LIHA’s faculty of outstanding educators shares an enthusiasm for teaching, a passion for learning, and a commitment to Judaism; they are both teachers and role models for our students. Critical to the success of our work with students is our unparalleled commitment to the intellectual life, professional development, mentoring and supervision of our faculty. We regularly engage teachers in Torah learning and facilitate their learning, collaboration and reflection as an integral aspect of their work. Our teachers are reflective and morally engaged practitioners reshaping the content and activity of Jewish day school teaching. We create a community of learning and growth for all.
